“CONTRAGULATIONS TO THE WINNERS”
At this year’s BSPS Summer Championships our team from Area 8 won the Young Judges Competition by a margin of 12 points.
The winning team was comprised of :		Lottie Fry

This really was a team effort in more ways than first spring to mind. So as well as giving a big thanks for all their hard work and congratulations to the team members, we must also thank those behind the scenes. These are, in no specific order, as follows :
The children’s schools who allowed them extra time off so that they could attend training sessions. Lottie Fry Downe House School Nico de Boinville Bradfield College Cornelia de Boinville St Edward’s School, Oxford
The children’s parents for ferrying them back and forward between school, home and the training sessions.
Richard and Marjorie Ramsay for the excellent training that the team received.
Lottie and Cornelia were also on last year’s team, proving that practice and training lead to success. It is 18 years since Area 8 last won this competition. Richard and Marjorie Ramsay also trained that team. Since then, two of that team have progressed to become fully fledged judges for The British Show Hack, Cob and Riding Horse Association. Furthermore, one of them has judged at The Royal International Horse Show and is judging this year at The Horse of the Year Show. Just goes to show that “from little acorns mighty oak trees grow.” We look forward to seeing a team from Area 8 in action again next year.
